Short answer: Saudi Arabia's main exhibition venues are the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center, the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Center in Malham, the Jeddah Superdome, the Jeddah Center for Forums & Events and Dhahran Expo. Riyadh Front's 2022 operations manual limits installations to 6–7 m and floor loading to 1,000 kg/m² and requires written venue permission for contractors – check the current manual for your show. Venue rules that shape your stand design in Saudi Arabia

Custom stands fail approval most often on height, fire class of materials, rigging and electrics. These are the rules the venues publish:

Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center (RFECC)

• 2022 edition – check the current manual: organisers must work under the maximum approved height of 6 m to 7 m; the ceiling is 11 m, but installations must not exceed 7 m or cover any AC vents.
• The maximum floor load in all halls and external areas is 1,000 kg/m², including duct and trench covers – this is not negotiable.
• Floor drilling only under the supervision of the venue's technical team (maximum 30 cm); wiring must follow the Saudi code under an RFECC engineer; contractors need written permission from the operations team and must apply separately for heavy machinery.

Shipping a stand from Istanbul to Saudi Arabia

Customs framework: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) accepts ATA Carnets for goods temporarily admitted for display or use at exhibitions, fairs, meetings or similar events, as well as professional equipment and samples. The Council of Saudi Chambers is the guarantor approved by ZATCA; the ICC lists the Federation of Saudi Chambers as the national ATA association. ZATCA's 'Temporary Admission Using ATA Carnet' e-service lets the carnet holder submit a pre-approval request before the goods arrive (importer number, passport copy and the carnet; processing time five days; no fee; released 2 June 2024). Exhibits that go back home: TOBB's notice, circulated by the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, states that Saudi Arabia joined the ATA system on 1 June 2024, that ZATCA requires prior approval through its portal before customs clearance, and that carnet holders must inform their issuing chamber before travelling so it can notify the Saudi guaranteeing body. Planning timeline for a custom stand in Saudi Arabia

1. 20–16 weeks before: book space, send us the floor plan and stand number; we propose a design and budget.
2. 16–12 weeks before: final design, structural details, material list with fire certificates; check the show manual for contractor registration and labour rules.
3. Drawing deadline (set by the venue/organiser – see the rules above): submit stand drawings; order electricity, rigging and other venue-reserved services through the appointed contractors.
4. 12–10 weeks before: production and pre-assembly in Istanbul.
5. 10–4 weeks before: sea or air freight with the customs documents; the shipping date is fixed first because ocean transit takes several weeks.
6. Build-up days: installation with the venue-appointed partners, final check with you before opening.
7. After the show: dismantling and return shipment of carnet goods before the carnet expires.
